Through monthly class trips to senior care facilities, students learn valuable life skills
and gain understanding and compassion for seniors.Through SKIP, seniors get additional companionship and are able to share life stories. The program directly addresses the growing concern of social isolation among seniors residing in Ontario. As a whole, all participants (students and seniors) learn from each other and form connections and friendships. Intergenerational programs offer an opportunity to bridge the generation gap offering numerous benefits for both generations.
